Team voice chat

The client ships with built-in team voice powered by Mumble — portable, no system install. A huge edge in a team MOBA.

How to enable

  1. When you launch the game via the launcher, you'll be asked "Enable team voice chat?" — click "Yes".
  2. The voice client opens automatically with the game and connects to the voice server.
  3. You join your team's voice room automatically during a match.

Your choice is remembered. To change it, delete consent.txt in %LOCALAPPDATA%\L2MobaVoice.

Push-to-talk

  • The default talk key is Right Alt: hold to talk, release to mute.
  • You can rebind it in Mumble settings (tray icon).

This is why the game runs as administrator: the game and voice run at the same level, otherwise Windows blocks the push-to-talk key over the game window.

Don't want voice?

Choose "No" at launch — the game runs without voice, no impact on starting. Voice is always optional and never blocks the game.

Mic not working?

  • Make sure you're holding Right Alt.
  • Open Mumble from the tray → Settings → Audio, run the audio wizard.
  • Check the correct microphone is selected in Windows.
